A cut half penny of William I (1066 to 1087) , dating from 1066 to 1068. Reverse description illegible, but depicts a cross fleury with annulet in the centre. Minted at either Hastings, Ilchester, Bedwyn or York. SPINK I, page 191, number 839.

A silver cut halfpenny of William I, mint uncertain, struck between 1083 and 1086. On the obverse is a facing bust with illegible legend, the reverse is obscured by a fold in the coin, but is of the short cross 'PAXS' type. This coin corresponds with North numbers 848-850.
