A medieval silver cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272), long cross type, minted by Huge at Winchester. Class 2, struck 1248 (North 1994: 226, refs: 985).
Obverse: hE[NRICVS REX] TERCI, Crowned bust facing without sceptre.
Reverse: hVG/[ ]/[ ]/ChE, Voided long cross with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 18.0mm. Weight: 0.67g.
