A medieval hammered silver cut halfpenny, London mint, from the reign of King John-Henry III (North class 5-7, AD 1204-1242). The obverse has a forward facing bust holding sceptre left, with hair of three curls. The obverse legend is indistinct due to wear. The reverse has a voided short cross with a quatrefoil in each angle. The legend reads: IL[GER ON LU]ND.
