A silver cut halfpenny of John, moneyer Pieres of Durham, Class 5bi. The coin has a letter S with a pellet in the centre. Although the mint is not named on the surviving part of the coin, the only Pieres recorded to have struck coins of class 5b was located at the Durham mint.
