A medieval silver cut half penny possibly of Henry III (AD 1216 -1272), class 7 (c. AD 1217/18 -1242) on the basis of lettering/script style. Canterbury mint. The obverse shows a crowned bust facing with seven pearls to the crown band, and a curl to the right of the head with remaining legend reading 'HENRIC'. The reverse is a voided short cross, possibly pomme, with four pellets in each quadrant. The legend on the reverse is worn and cut-off at the coin's edges, rendering it difficult to decipher, but portion reading '•…
