The coin has been cut completely in half; with this and some wear, the bust has become obscured along with more than half of the inscription.
The moneyer is probably Abel.

Medieval hammered silver coin of Henry III, a cut halfpenny, probably class 7a3 or 7b1. Minted at London. The reverse face has been double struck. Dates to between c1220 and c1229 AD.
Obverse legend reads as [hE]N[RICVS R/]EX. There is a pellet stop between N and D so the the reverse legend reads as [... O]N LVN.D+. The coin has been clipped.
The length is 16mm, the width 7.5mm and the weight is less than 1g.

Silver cut half penny, probably of Henry II (1154-1189), Class 1, now bent and cracked. Obverse showing a number of pearls in the crown. Reverse: voided short cross with pellets. Only a little of each inscription can be read, but there is enough on the reverse to show that the moneyer was Willelm, which in class 1 would narrow the mints down to London, Lincoln, Northampton or York. Issued between 1180 and 1189.
