A silver voided long cross cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272) dating to the period 1247-1250. The obverse depicts a forward facing bust with two curls to the right of the face (the left side has been cut away). The crown consists of three pellets forming a trefoil in the centre above a band across the head which terminates at a pellet at either end. There are three pellets below the band on the forehead. The obverse legend reads HENRIC... The reverse depicts a voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The reverse legend reads RIC/ARD which denotes the moneyer.
