A silver Medieval coin; a cut half voided short cross penny of Richard I, John or Henry III, probably class 4 or 7, dating from AD 1194 - 1242. It was probably struck by Ioan at Canterbury. See North number 968/1 - 980. The coin is 17.28mm long, 9.22mm wide and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 0.58g. The coin is bent, very worn, and one corned is broken off and missing.
