Silver coin. Voided long cross cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272), cf. class 4b, but issue of the Dublin mint, 1247-1272. An authority based in Ireland kindly comments as follows: 'This is a coin of Henry III. The pellet waisted S puts it into [Slevin 2016, page 12] group 1. So making it S6236 to 6239, most likely class 1b (S6236) of Ricard Bonventre [1251-1254]. The coins can be with or without shoulders; only class 2d has the large shoulders'.
