A silver cut halfpenny of Alexander III of Scotland (AD 1249-1286), most likely a class 3 (based on the lettering style), dating to the period AD 1250-c.1280. Obverse: Crowned left facing bust, uncertain type; Legend: ALEXA[NDER REX]. Reverse: voided long cross dividing the inscription with a six-pointed star in each quadrant; Legend: [...]EA[...]. Unclear mint and moneyer, but possibly Andreas of Aberdeen.
