A silver Medieval short cross cut half coin; a cut halfpenny of Henry III, probably class 8b dating from AD 1242 - 1247. The moneyer is Ioan, probably at the Bury mint. See North number 981/2 on page 223 (1994). The coin is 16.5mm long, 0.6mm thick and weighs 0.60g. Class 8 coins are uncommon.
