A cut silver voided long cross halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272) dating to the period 1248-1250. The obverse depicts the top of the head of a forward facing bust with two curls visible to the left of the face. The crown is three pellets forming a trefoil in the centre with a band running across the head with a pellet at each end as terminals. The obverse legend reads X . III H. The reverse depicts a voided long cross with three pellets in each quarter. The legend reads TRE/ION referring to the mint at Exeter.
