A silver cut halfpenny of Henry III (AD 1216-1272), dating to the period AD 1247-1272. Mint of Lincoln. Although the coin has been cut and only the mint name remains on the reverse, there were only four moneyers who struck in Lincoln. These moneyers are Ion, Ricard, Walter and Willem. The coin belongs to Class III because of the legend and the image of the king without a sceptre; therefore this combination of mints, moneyers and style dates this coin to c. AD 1248-1250. North N986-988.
