Half of a gold laurel (sovereign) coin of James I, third coinage, AD 1619-1625. Obverse: illegible (but would have been a laureated bust in armour left, with XX behind. Inscription reads [IACOBUS D G MAG BRIT] FRA ET HIB [REX]. Reverse: Long cross fleury over crowned square shield. Inscription reads FACI[AM EOS IN GENTEM UNAM].
