Complete Charles I gold crown. The coin is in excellent condition, with only some parts of the legends worn. The initial mark is worn, but appears to be a crown (1635-1636) (North 1991:157) Obverse: Crowned bust left (Group D) with V behind. CAROLVS.D.G.MA.BR.FR.ET.HI.REX Reverse: Garnished oval shield with crowned C R at sides. CVLTORES.SVI.DEVS.PROTEGIT (God protects His worshippers).
