A Post-Medieval copper-alloy Irish 'gun money' halfcrown of James II (AD 1685-1688), dated August 1690. Mint of Dublin. Dimensions: diameter: 32.61mm; weigh: 17.00g.  These coins were minted during the Williamite War in Ireland (AD 1689-1691) and were to be redeemed for silver coinage after the war.
