A slightly worn and corroded sub-square copper-alloy coin weight. This is a continental weight made for an English Crown.
The obverse has the raised image of a crowned rose, with the letters "E" and "C" either side. On the reverse is the personal coat of arms of Lenaart van den Gheere III or IV of Amsterdam (1585-1621AD), which depicts a wreath around a left-facing lion rampant, with the letter "L" below (Withers & Withers; 1995; pp. 35 and 62).
It measures 15.6mm wide, 14.7mm high and 2.1mm thick; it weighs 3.32g.
