A silver Post-Medieval sixpence of Queen Anne dating to 1702 - 1714. Crowned shields of England, Scotland, France and Ireland arranged in a cruciform on the reverse. Die axis unclear. The coin is extremely worn and has been deliberately bent into a S-shape Diameter: 18.55 Weight: 2.53g Probably re-used as a token or charm by being deliberately worn and bent into an S-shape. Coins with a double bend are sometimes referred to as 'love tokens' but are more correctly regarded as charms or pledges. They are not uncommon finds but their significance is not understood.

A silver Post-Medieval sixpence of William III (1694 - 1702), dating to c.AD 1694 - 1702. The coin has been worn almost smooth, but the arms on the cruciform shields on the reverse are English. The coin has been bent in two places giving it an S-shaped profile; this has possibly been done to create a love token.
