A Post Medieval silver 1 Real coin of Philip III of Spain ( 1598 - 1621 ) dating to 1608. The obverse shows the Spanish Royal Coat of Arms  ( Hapsburg Shield ) after the unification with Portugal with the legend PHILIPPVS III D G   To the right of the arms is I confirming the denomination of 1 Real. To the left of the arms is the aqueduct mint mark of the Sergovia mint with the assayer mark of c below it. The assayer is probably Melchor Rodriguez del Castillo who held the position 1597 - 1602 and 1607 - 1611. The reverse shows Quartered Arms of Castile and…

Spanish Post Medieval silver one real of Charles II (1661- 1700), dating to AD 1691. Mint of Potosi, Bolivia. The coin is very worn and probably clipped with c.25% of the design lost off the flan. However poor striking resulting in some of the design being off the flan is common with these coins.
