A Post Medieval milled silver coin of Charles II (AD 1660 - 1685); a threepence dating from AD 1679. The coin is pierced with a large hole punched through the back of the King's neck, having a diameter of 2.7mm. Compare number 3386 on page 339 of Spink's Standard catalogue (2011). Measurements are; diameter 17.3mm, thickness 0.8mm and weight 12.44g. The perforation has a diameter of 2.7mm.

The coin is missing chips above the bust at 10-11 and 2 o'clock. it has also be cracked into two pieces along a line between 11 and 5 o'clock as seen on the obverse.
