A Post Medieval silver three pence of William and Mary (AD1688-1694), dating AD 1694. The obverse depicts the two busts in profile facing right. The inscription reads GVLIELMVS . ET . / MARIA . D . G. [William and Mary, by the grace of God]. The reverse depicts a crowned 3. The inscription reads MAG . BR . FR . ET . HIB . REX . ET . REGINA . 16 / 94. Spink no. 3442. The coin has been bent into an S shape and was therefore likely given as a love token. Dimensions: diameter: 17.53 mm; weight: 1.48g.
