Obverse: ELIZABETH D.G.ANG.FR.ET.HI.REGINA, Crowned bust left with a rose behind the head. Reverse: POSVI/DEV.AD/IVTORE/M.MEV. (I have made God my Helper), Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date of 1574 above shield. Diameter: 19.0mm. Weight: 1.55g. DA=12:9. North, J.J. 1991. English Hammered Coinage, Volume II, Edward I to Charles II, 1272-1662. Spink & Son, London.
