A Medieval possible farthing or halfpenny of Henry VIII (1509-1547), perhaps second coinage.
The coin's size resembles that of a farthing, but the description ending in "SPIA" matches halfpennys.
Obverse: Bust of king facing forward and wearing double looped crown. Legend is mostly clipped but "SPIA" is still visible
Reverse: Long cross separating coin into quadrants. Each quadrant has three pellets. "LON DON" still visible on legend.

A complete silver farthing of Henry VIII (1509 to 1547) dating to the period 1526 to 1544.
The obverse depicts a portcullis in the centre of the field surrounded by the legend RUTILANS ROSA. The initial mark is a lis which is in use during the periods 1529 to 1532 and 1538 to 1541. The reverse depicts a long cross with one pellet in each quarter surrounded by the legend which reads DEO/GRA/CI/AS.
This coin is listed as extremely rare by North (1991:113).
