An incomplete, extremely worn hammered silver coin, likely dating to the early post-medieval period. Its diameter and thickness corresponds to that of a penny of the period. Unknown ruler and mint. A small, narrow slit of metal is missing from just off-centre of the coin, a cut which likely occurred from an encounter with agricultural machinery in the plough soil.
