Silver coin. Hammered coin of an indeterminate foreign issuer with chipped edges resulting in loss of most of legend. Possibly Early Post-Medieval issue of 1500-1600, possibly related to Antwerp in the Low Countries. The finder kindly suggests this to be a half reale of the Spanish Netherlands dated 1560-1566, which is a suggestion followed below [numismatic record]. A silver pierced Post-Medieval milled 1/2 Real of Phillip V (1724 - 1746), dating to AD 1724 - 1746. Minted in Mexico. The coin has been pierced to the top right from the obverse side. Diameter: 15.51 mm Weight: 1.14 mm Die Axis: 12 The pierced hole could indicate a secondary use as a pendant, possibly suspension on a watch chain. A similar coin, which has been turned into a brooch can be seen on the database as KENT-E73D1B, Jo Ahmet has desribed the coin as being: minted by Mark "M" Manuel de la Pena and a Calico (1982, 256) type 200.
