A heavily worn and pierced farthing coin from the reign of George I (1714-27).  The ovoid pierced hole measures 3.5mm at it's widest point and shows considerable wear.  Little detail survives on the coin save the outline of the right facing bust and on the reverse, Britannia.  Remnants of the legend are also visible on the obverse GEORGI[VS REX] and the reverse BRIT[ANNIA]   The date has been obliterated by the pierced hole.  If this was worn as a pendant then it would hang to show the monarch.

Farthing of George I. The date is illegible, but the bust and legend is clearly that of George I, and it will therefore date from 1719 - 1724. As Spink 3662
