This is a copper alloy 'dump' issue farthing of George I (1714-27). In this instance the coin is probably from the second issue for this type (1719-24). The obverse has the laureate and cuirassed bust right and the reverse, Britannia seated left on rock, holding branch and spear; shield at side. The coin is heavily corroded.
