An incomplete uninscribed Iron Age silver unit of the southern region, probably attributable to the Trinovantes or Catuvellaunii and dating to c. 60-20 BC. Obverse: Head right, large pointed nose, corded crescents for hair, crescent and daisy motif in front. Reverse: Annulate horse right, beaded annulet ring above and below, daisy motif in front.  Similar to ABC 2383, ABC 2386 and BMC 376 (British Lx series) but possibly a previously unrecorded variant.

The coin is less than half of complete so the diameter given is the minimum possible. Measurements: thickness 1.8mm; diameter 12.7mm; weight 0.72g.

Obverse: CVN in central panel; rosette with centrl pellet above. Reverse: Dog left. There appears to be an additional pellet between the dog's tail and its haunches, compared to the example in ABC.
