A worn British Iron Age uninscribed silver unit, Western (Dobunni) type, Cottam's (2010) 'Cotswold Crosses' type. "Dobunnic IJ" series, perhaps c. AD 20-50. Interestingly the obverse of this example depicts a stylised head facing left, not facing right as the ABC (Cottam et al 2010) example does, and the two other examples recorded on this database (FAPJW-1533E5 and NARC1166). ABC 2036 = VA 1135 = BMC 3003.

Celtic silver coin of the Corieltauvi, British North Eastern type. The obverse bears a stylised horse, facing left, it has no mane and a long, simple, tail. Above the horse is a ring of pellets. Four further, individual pellets, each set within a raised ring, are placed above the horse's tail, under its belly, in front of its chest and above its head. Beneath the horse is a line of small pellets. On the reverse is the figure of a boar at 6 o'clock, little detail can be seen of this suggesting that it was struck from a very worn die. The coin is slightly dished. Diameter 16.0mm, Mass 1.…
