An Iron Age copper alloy, silver plated unit of the Regini and Atrebates, struck for Epaticcus (c. AD 20-40) or possibly Caratacus (AD 40-43), Reece period 1. It is of Rudd's 'Epaticcus Eagle' or 'Caratacus Eagle' type, the former being more likely as it is a commoner coin type. It is likely this is a contemporary copy of the usual silver issues of this coin. Reference: ABC 1346 or 1376; Van A 580 or 593; BMC 2024-2293 or 2376-84.

An Iron Age silver unit of Cunobelinus, dating AD10-40. This coin is of the Man horse type, ABC no. 2828. The obverse depicts a rectangular panel, seemingly with letters spelling CAMVL, but it is unclear. There is a dolphin above and beneath the panel, all of which are encircled in a wreath. The reverse depicts a centaur galloping left, with a palm behind and ring-and-dot motif below. CVNO would have been inscribed along the lower edge. There is a lot of light-mid green staining on both sides of the coin, which may indicate the presence of copper. The coin does not appear to be a silve…

A silver Iron Age coin; an uninscribed North Eastern (Corieltauvi) silver unit, South Ferriby Daisy type, phase 6, circa 50 - 10 BC. Compare ABC 1806. The coin is 15.6mm diameter, 1.7mm thick, 1.07g. Part of the edge (including the head of the horse) is missing owing to edge chips. The flan is dished. Only vestigal traces of the design survive on the obverse. The coin could also be a silver half unit, similar to ABC 1833 (Allen ZA type).
