An Iron Age uniscribed silver unit, dating from 60-20 BC. One face depicts eight serrated leaves radiating from a cogwheel in beaded ring; the other face depicts an annulate horse left, right foreleg raised, clumpy hooves. Cf. Cottam et al. 2010, 'Ancient British Coinage', p. 55, no. 716, listed as 'Eight Leaf Cogwheel' and 'excessively rare'. A similar unit is recorded on PAS database SUSS-EE091B.

An Iron Age silver unit with no direct parallel as yet. The obverse is most similar to Rudd's ABC 2116, the 'Facing Horses' type of the East Wiltshire tribe (dating c.50-35 BC)while the reverse is most similar to the 'Abingdon Zoo' and 'Abingdon Head' types of Rudd's Berkshire tribe (dating c.55-40 BC; ABC 1004 and 1007). The edges of the flan are a little jagged between 9 and 12 o'clock on obverse. The reverse is dished.
