A copper alloy hammered probable coin dating to the Post Medieval period, about 1600 - 1900. The coin is illegible, but it is probably a Scottish twopence, or 'turner' or 'bodle' of James VI (1567-1625), Charles I (1625-1649), or Charles II (1649-1685). However, it is only the size and form of the coin which suggests such an identification. Alternative identifications might be that of a Post Medieval farthing, token or jetton. It has a diameter of 19.5mm, a thickness of 0.7mm, and weighs 1.0g.
