A post-medieval copper-alloy 17th-century trade token halfpenny issued by Henry Fideo at Wednesbury in Staffordshire, Williamson Staffordshire 089, dating to 1666 on the token. Mr M O'Bee kindly identifies this as of John Robinson of Owston Ferry, who inherited a public house in that small but well-connected settlement. Obverse description: Antlered stag walking left. A post-medieval, copper halfpenny peninsular token issued by J K Picard of Hull in 1813 to commemorate Field Marshall Wellington's battles of the Spanish peninsular war from 1807 to 1814. The token is corroded and much of the detail is illegible. The obverse shows the bust of Wellington, left, with the inscription HISPANIUM ET LVSITANIUM RESTITVIT WELLINGTON around the perimeter, now illegible.
