A worn lead-alloy unifaced token of the post-Medieval to Early Modern period, dating to AD1500 - AD 1900. Description: The token is roughly circular and quite thick. The token is uniface (with decoration on one side). The decoration consists of raised hatched lines roughly forming a grid on one side, forming rectangular cells with points at the bottom. Thomas Brett of Snave is listed as a Bailiff in Romney Marsh in 1639 (Wiston Mss 1520, 1521). His grave monument at St Augustine Church, Snave lists his year of death is 1674.
