An incomplete silver blanc au soleil of Louis XI of France (1461-83), minted at Lyon (Duplessy 553) in 1475. Ref: Duplessy 1988:252. The coin has been pierced, 3.48mm in diameter, to the left of the tressure, and is ridged on the obverse but not on the reverse. The coin is incompelete, chipped around much of the edge with some areas of inscription no longer surviving. The obverse depicts three fleur de lis enclosed in a doubled ringed, three arched tressure. At the top of the tressure is a sun.
