A cast lead-alloy uniface token. The decorated side of the token bears a relief-moulded design resembling a spoked wheel. It is 18.1mm in diameter, 3.9mm thick and weighs 8.06 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely, and this example could be Medieval or post-Medieval in date( c.1250-1850).

A cast lead-alloy uniface token. The one design on the sub-circular token comprises a moulded cross with a pellet in each quarter. The token is 17.4mm in diameter, 4.1mm thick and weighs 7.72 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally. They are therefore hard to date precisely.This example could be medieval or post-Medieval in date, c.1250-1850.

A Medieval or Post Medieval cast lead-alloy circular unifaced token, c. AD 1250-1800. The token has a raised design of crossed lines in the shape of a wheel on one side,with a pellet in one section, the other side is blank. It is 26.8mm in diameter, 3.8mm thick and weighs 14.83 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore difficult to date precisely but those with simplistic designs are given a general Medieval to Post Medieval date.

A cast lead-alloy token of Medieval to post-Medieval date. One side of the circular token bears a moulded design which resembles a spoked wheel; the opposite side bears the number 6, plus other, indecipherable, letters or numerals. The token, which retains a trace of the casting sprue, is 17.2mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 3.93 grams. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally; they are therefore hard to date precisely.

The design consists of a geometrical pattern of rays, arranged in a central cross with V-shapes in each angle. The reverse of the token has been left plain but has acquired a large projection of ferrous concretion from the foreshore. Dimensions: length: 19.65mm; diameter: 14.39mm; weight: 3.71g.

A complete Medieval to Post Medieval cast lead alloy unifaced token, 1450-1750. The token has been cast from lead alloy in quite a worn or damaged mould; the uneven surface is also the result of damage sustained post-casting. The raised decoration on the obverse consists of a large central pellet surrounded by ten pellets arranged in a circle, inset slightly from the edge of the token. The reverse of the token is undecorated but badly pockmarked. The entire token has a dark brown-black patina. Dimensions: thickness: 2.63mm; diameter: 19.97mm; weight: 6.83g.

Around the circumference is a border of inward pointing triangles. The token is 21.1mm in diameter, 2.6mm thick and 7.72 grams. Lead tokens with such simple designs had a wide variety of uses; they were often made locally and are hard to date precisely; therefore, a general c.1250-1800 date is given.
