A copper-alloy coin weight of Medieval date. Withers and Withers (1995: 44) suggest that the image on this coin identifies it as French, and probably relating to the agnel d'or of Philip IV (1268-1314), or the mouton d'or of Jean le Bon (1319-1364) and Charles VI (1368-1422). The weight is rectangular in plan, measuring 10.1mm long by 9.8mm high. The upper surface bears the relief-cast image of a lamb, standing left and holding a banner, its head turned to the right. There does not appear to be any legend. The underside of the weight is plain. It is 4.9mm thick and weighs 3.28g.
