A worn and damaged post medieval coin, probably a silver-plated contemporary copy of a testoon of Henry VIII (AD 1509 - 1547). The legend is illegible and the obverse is very worn, however a bust of Henry VIII can just be made out. The reverse shows a crown over the Tudor rose. Probably minted in London in AD 1544 - 1547 (North 1841). The coin is damaged with a jagged break and part of the flan folded over. The plating is visible at the break.
Diameter 31 mm, thickness 1 mm and weight 4.3 g.
