The coin is clipped and worn in places with a crack visible from the edge towards the centre of the coin in the fourth quarter of the reverse.

A medieval hammered silver groat of Richard III (1483-85). The obverse has the facing bust within a tressure of nine arches and the reverse has the long cross pattée dividing legends with three pellets in each angle. The mintmark would seem to be the Boar's head 2 and is present o both sides of the coin. The coin has been slightly clipped.
