A groat of Henry VI (AD 1422-1461) minted in London - Trefoil issue (1438-43), Class C (Type A). North 1496. Split through middle of coin. Obverse: Crowned bust with leaf on breast and trefoils by neck. Legend reads: [HENRIC DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC DNS HYB]. Reverse: Long cross with pellets in each quadrant. Legend reads: outer circle - POSVI-DEVM A-DIV[TOREM MEVM]. Inner circle - CIVI/TASLON/DON
