Medieval copper alloy coin weight for a groat of Edward I, 1279-1300 (Withers 1994, p.7 no.30). Length 18.62mm, width 15.37mm, thickness 3.34mm, weight 5.70g (88 grains). This coin weight should weigh 90 grains (5.83g) and would have been used to check the weight of groats of Edward I 1279-1300 only - later groats (from 1351) were much lighter at c.72 grains.
