A silver coin; a penny of Edward III (1327 – 1377), Pre-Treaty coinage (1351 – 1361) probably series D (1352 – 1353). The coin is badly struck, possibly double struck, and the obverse is very unclear. One side has certainly been struck twice in slightly different positions. The coin was minted in York and is probably North number 1157.
