An almost complete, though slightly worn, medieval silver hammered coin; a halfpenny of King Robert I (the Bruce) of Scotland (AD 1306-1329). Class I (Spink S5077), dating to about 1318-29. Ref: Spink 2003, 21. Measurements are; length 14.1mm, width 12.8mm, thickness 1.0mm and weight 0.40g. Obverse: Crowned bust of king facing left, holding sceptre in front (to left).  Obverse inscription: ROBER[TVS . DEI . GRA].
