North vol 2, p77. no 1468. Coin has been pierced with a subcircular hole in the centre of the coin from obverse to reverse. Internal diameter of the hole is 1.4 mm. A heavily clipped Medieval silver halfpenny, possibly of Henry VI (r. AD 1422 to AD 1471). The obverse contains a forward facing bifoliate crowned bust with upturned curled hair. Mint starts with a V and ends in SIE - possibly meaning Calais.  A shape is in the centre of the reverse long cross. Possibly a rosette, but cannot be certain.

A clipped silver halfpenny of Henry VII (1485-1509).  The obverse shows a worn design of a small facing bust with a single arched crown. The legend had been clipped, but the end seems to read REX, trefoil stop, A.  The reverse bears a cross fourchée with three pellets in each quarter. The legend is clipped but appears to read CIVI TAS LON DON.  This is similar to type 3Be in Withers (p. 44) Measurements: Diameter: 11.1mm Weight: 0.31g Die axis: 8
