Silver coin. Round halfpenny of an indeterminate late medieval ruler, probably York mint, which, along with the mass, might point to Edward IV (1461-1470, 1471-1483). This reporter is especially perplexed by the remnant obverse inscription.
Obverse description: Facing bare-shouldered bust, small shoulders, large face with angular edges, open crown with a horizontally divided band, hair [left] with marked curves.
Obverse inscription: [---]I AG:???
Reverse description: Long cross with three pellets in each angle, probably central quatrefoil

Silver coin. Possibly a halfpenny of a late medieval ruler from its current mass; the finder kindly suggests this to be a penny and attributable to Edward IV (1461-1470 and 1471-1483) - possibly as North no. 1661, and of Durham mint. Suggested date: Late Medieval, 1461-1483.
Obverse description: Worn smooth.
Reverse description: Long cross, three pellets in each angle, a small extra pellet in one quarter; central quatrefoil.
Diameter: 14.8mm, Weight: 0.45gms.

Silver coin. Halfpenny of Edward IV (second reign, 1471-1483), made by trimming a penny. Possibly from a Durham penny. An example of an earlier penny of 1351 is described as having annulets with the pellets (North 1991, page 49 no. 1137); the obverse suggests a Durham penny of Edward IV (second reign, 1471-1483) issued under Bishop William Dudley (North no. 1666), implying a date of 1477-1483.
Obverse description: Facing bare shouldered bust with bifoliate crown, V to right of shoulders, legend removed by trimming up to the circle.
Reverse description: Long cross with three …
