A worn and bent mid-late 13th-century silver medieval cut halfpenny of Alexander III of Scotland, first coinage, long cross and stars, Type III or IV, struck by Thomas at St Andrews mint (1250 - c.1280 AD; Spink 5043/5044). The coin has been further fractured along the void of the cross.
