A silver, medieval halfpenny probably of either Henry VI (AD 1422 - 1461) or Edward IV (AD 1461 - 1470), based on size. Any markings that were on the obverse have been worn away. On the reverse only two pellets are visible. Part of the coin has been damaged or clipped, with approximately one quarter missing. A small hole, 1.7mm, has been punched through the coin, close to one edge, evidence of possible reuse.
