A fragmentary early medieval silver penny of Cnut (1016-35), Quatrefoil type dating to c.1017-23 (North 781; BMC viii), 'Winchester variety' dies, mint and moneyer uncertain. Ref: North 1994: 167. The coin only partially survives, most of the outer circle having broken away along the line of the inner circle. Probably just under half of the coin survives.
