An early medieval silver coin: a cut farthing of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066), Trefoil Quadrilateral type (1046 - 1048), moneyer probably Osferth at Lincoln. It is 13.2mm long, 9.3mm wide and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 0.33gm.
For reference, see North, volume 1, number 817. Only one other coin of this type and moneyer has been found on either EMC or PAS databases: see EMC number 1996.0249.
