A worn and heavily corroded Post Medieval silver sixpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603 AD). The obverse is missing nearly all of its identifying features save for faint traces of the inner beaded circle and fragments of the legend. The portion of the legend that is legible reads: [E]LIZABETH [...] [REG]INA. The reverse is a long cross fourchee over a royal shield within a beaded circle, with a date above.
