Obverse description: Portcullis; object above is possibly mintmark 54 A for 1582-1584; Spink (2004) lists the portcullis halfpenny under fifth issue of 1582-1600 as without mintmark or 54 Reverse description: Long cross with curled ends, three pellets in each angle. Diameter: 10mm, Weight: 0.32gms.
