A clipped, chipped and polished silver post medieval coin, uncertain ruler and mint, possibly a half penny of Elizabeth I (AD 1561-1582). Pelleted borders can be seen on both sides but no other details due to extreme polishing. The coin has a crease across the diameter, probably indicating it has been folded and unfolded. Diameter 14 mm, thickness 0.2 mm, weight 0.3 g

Reverse has a long cross fourchée over quartered shield, surrounded by lettering CIV[I TAS L]ON DON. Mintmark absent. Die Axis is 7 o'clock.
