A very worn and abraded, Roman, copper alloy radiate coin which has been deliberatley pierced. A D-shaped hole, possibly from a knife-point, has been punched through the flan to the right of the radiate bust on the obverse. The reverse type and mint are illegible. The coin may have been pierced for use as a pendant, possibly during the Anglo Saxon period.
